Since 1925, Lions International has been a champion in helping combat vision impairment and blindness. With this same conviction, Lions have also been a force in providing medical care and education to help prevent hearing loss. Vision is one of Lions International's global causes.
Lions collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids. These are recycled for various purposes. This helps fulfill one of our global causes, environmentalism. The Walworth Lions Club recycles about 1600 pairs of eyeglasses and several hundred hearing aids annually. This keeps them out of landfills.
